Welcome to Cave Diving Thailand's, Cave and Technical Diving Department.
We are Koh Tao's only ProTec (Professional Technical & Recreational Diving) in fact the only ProTec Instructors on the Island of Koh Tao. So only Tech Diving Thailand is offering all ProTec and all Recreational & Technical diving courses on the island! But we teach NAUI Diving Agency another non-profit organisation as well! And so only work with the non-profit diving organisations! And safer diving organisations!
ABOUT US
ProTec stands for Professional Technical and Recreational Diving. We are an international training and certification organization that is offering services for newcomers, Technical divers and dive professionals. We work together with dive instructors and dive centres promoting responsible, sustainable diving among all levels of diving business.
ProTec roots lay back in the early eighties, when the founders of ProTec, among some enthusiastic deep and mixed gas divers in Austria and Switzerland, set up their way to dive beyond the sport diving limits with new rules and training to achieve maximum safety for this extreme sport.
These activities started on a club status, while later on an international cooperation with some technical dive organizations followed.
In 1997 the name and logo of ProTec was newly established together with a re-organization, to facilitate a step into international activity. While in the early stage the focus was strictly on technical diving, ProTec was the first tec-organization that extended the program with so-called recreational diving.
The ProTec’s core is the board of directors and founding members as a non-profit cooperation, which grants rights and assign tasks to international partners. These are business companies, commissioned and authorized for the operational work.
Founded as a pure technical diving organization, just 2 years later, the so-called recreational diving was added to complement the program, which was very well accepted and brought success right from the start.
The expansion of ProTec´s boundaries has been followed by international cooperation with diving organizations.
So, in 2005 the ProTec has joined CMAS as an international Federation, as there was a very close accordance with the CMAS standards. Since then, ProTec offers also a CMAS full adequate course program besides the worldwide well-known OWD/AOWD program.

And we try and match all our competitors prices! Some dive centers may skim and undercut on other dive centers prices, using newbie inexperienced instructors with very little experience, and cutting corners and in big groups of strangers with very little concentration on each student's safety and enjoyment and so paying their newbie instructors absolutely basic wages and putting you in big groups with a bunch of complete unknown strangers! Unlike us, using a one on one or one on family or group experience with our Technical Instructor Trainer and course director (the most qualified and experienced instructor in the industry) greatly improving your safety and experience with 1000's of students and instructor clients under our belts and only with nothing but 5* reviews! So you all Dive Happy and safe!
"We guarantee to match any other dive center's prices, ensuring your safety is in the hands of expert technical instructor trainers. Your safety is our top priority, with no shortcuts or skipped procedures!"
As your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority! So if other centres are cutting corners and not concentrating on your safety and enjoyment and only care about making money and so undercutting all there competitors and cutting corners and cutting divers safety and enjoyment, we will match their prices with proof, only to keep our students safe and happy !
